Now based in London, my life began in Luxembourg over three decades ago. Thanks to the multilingual background I was brought up in, I’ve always been curious about different cultures, people and ways of life. This curiosity eventually took me to South Africa and the UK to live, work and study.

While I’ve spent the last decade of my life teaching and researching within the fields of sociology and gender studies as well as working with women’s and civil society advisory bodies in the UK and SA, I’ve recently taken the steps to reorganize my life around photography as my primary focus and profession. One of my motivations for making this switch is my belief that photography can be a powerful tool to expose socially relevant stories and reach a much wider audience than textual accounts alone can.

It may therefore not come as a surprise that the areas of photography I’m most drawn to are documentary, events and portrait photography as well as photojournalism. I’m currently studying towards an Advanced Diploma in Professional Photography, which will allow me to explore further aspects of my chosen profession.

Commercial work includes business shoots, conferences and events and I am currently  contracted to aardvark360 as a google trusted photographer.

You will find examples of my work in the portfolio section of this website. I’m always open to new opportunities so please do get in touch with suggestions if you like what you see.
